Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Spring is in the air at Bellagio
Vibrant Blossoms, Beautiful Butterflies and Oversized Creations Celebrate Beauty of New Beginnings
LAS VEGAS – Spring blooms to life inside Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens with delicate blossoms, tender shoots and a whimsical tribute to gardening. Filled with thousands of fragrant flowers and oversized living displays, this magical tableau offers an enchanting glimpse into the life of a gardener at work.
Guests will delight in finding massive models of traditional gardening gear throughout the exhibit. In one corner, a towering, 10-foot-tall watering can gently saturates a bed of soft wheat grass while, just steps away, a 14-foot-wide sun bonnet rests on a field of pink and yellow lilies. Nearby, a vivid sea of multi-colored tulips surrounds an oversized, 10-foot-tall trowel and mammoth gardening pots. Each of these enormous replicas, weighing between 500 and 2,000 pounds, features tens of thousands of individual plants and blooms.
Fanciful garden creatures can be seen soaking up the sun amidst these aromatic topiaries. Whimsical creations range from giant snails made of sheet moss, red coffee beans and cream- and pink-colored roses to a curious, two-foot-tall frog comprised of reindeer moss, green coffee beans and vibrant lime-colored chrysanthemums. Two graceful egrets also can be found at rest in a quiet reflecting pond. The elegant herons, each featuring hundreds of tiny white flowers, are encircled by animated water blossoms and oversized lotus blooms.
The captivating centerpiece of this living exhibit resides within a classic English conservatory. A winding stone pathway invites guests inside the stately greenhouse where only a thin glass barrier separates visitors from the vibrant beauty of more than 40 species of butterflies.
Bellagio's tribute to spring continues inside Jean Philippe Pâtisserie where a one-of-a-kind chocolate creation enchants visitors of all ages. The display features two hand-crafted chocolate bunnies as they fish for their supper from the deck of a working paddleboat. Showing off their catches, the enterprising fishermen hold animated poles that rise from sugar waves. Guests also will find an assortment of chocolate rabbits and eggs available for purchase.
Visitors are invited to celebrate spring inside Bellagio's Conservatory and Jean Philippe Pâtisserie through May 5.
